I immersed myself in entertainment marketing for television and film studios for several years. While initially drawn to psychology as an adolescent, I pursued a business degree at my parents' encouragement. Although my business education enriched my life, I realized that despite an engaging job in a creative field, it wasn't my life's calling. The realization sparked a significant change, leading me back to my initial passion for psychology.
I returned to school, pursuing a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and later delving into a PhD in International Psychology. This journey, though unconventional, granted me enduring relationships from my time in the entertainment industry, shaping the diverse tapestry of experiences that define my holistic approach to psychology today.

I embraced the opportunity to apply my psychological expertise in practical settings. Working as a therapist, I engaged deeply with diverse communities, especially those marginalized due to socioeconomic factors, race, and gender identities. Alongside my clinical practice, I actively contributed as a board member to a community mental health clinic, passionately advocating for the wellness of low-income, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ individuals.
My commitment to mental health advocacy extended beyond local communities—I presented research on colorism and skin-lightening at a Middle Eastern conference and provided insights to various publications, panels, and podcasts in the United States and the Middle East. As part of an interprofessional team, I contributed to discussions on pressing topics like service learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and crafted programs focused on Spiritual Wellness through Indigenous Healing Practices. My specialized training in EMDR, Maternal Mental Health, Anger Management, Intimate Partner Violence, and post-incarceration re-entry further equipped me to address diverse psychological needs.

A fusion of diverse experiences and a deep-rooted commitment to holistic mental wellness have shaped my experience. As a therapist, my dedication extends beyond clinical practice—I actively engage as a board member at a community mental health clinic, passionately advocating for marginalized communities. My contributions extend globally, presenting research internationally and offering insights in publications, panels, and podcasts, spanning continents. Specialized training in EMDR, Maternal Mental Health, Anger Management, Intimate Partner Violence, and post-incarceration re-entry equips me to address diverse psychological needs.
My earlier career in entertainment marketing adds a unique lens to my therapeutic approach, fostering a rich understanding of human experiences. This culmination of experiences allows me to offer a holistic and empathetic perspective, guiding individuals on transformative journeys toward wellness and empowerment.
